    • Mix concrete
    • Pour or place concrete

    • Repair concrete structures
    • Apply finishing coat
    • Follow all safety protocols when using tools and equipment
    • Clean up the worksite when the project is complete

    • Setting forms that hold concrete in place to the desired pitch and depth and align them.
    • Cleaning and inspecting surfaces for pouring issues.
    • Directing the casting of the concrete with the truck driver.
    • Grading.
    • Placing & Finishing, Flatwork and Curb & Gutter.
    • Pouring, smoothing, and leveling concrete using a rake, trowel, float, and screed. This includes handheld tools and power tool versions.
    • Monitoring the effects of the weather on the curing process.
    • Applying sealing and hardening components.
    • Safely operating power vibrator to ensure concrete is compacted.
    • Molding and constructing expansion joints using joiners and edging tools.
    • Polishing surface using a power surfacing machine

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Follow all safety protocols when using tools and equipment
    • Assist operator with checking grade measuring and marking manholes and water valve boxes on concrete.
    • Work with operators to perform tasks as needed throughout the day (i.e. exposing manholes and water valves that get covered with dirt, being the eyes on the ground for the operators, etc).
    • Performs a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in heavy/highway construction projects; performs manual work in preparing surfaces for paving.
    • Excavates and fills trenches and ditches.
    • Clean up the worksite when the project is complete

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Sourcing quality parts at the right price is an important aspect of the job.
    • Must be able to identify and evaluate suppliers who can offer replacement parts that match the quality of the originals.
    • Must also have good negotiating skills so they can obtain the best prices for parts.
    • Daily filing of maintenance and purchasing documentation.
    • Ensure through extensive stock review that any parts are rarely depleted.
    • Inform planners/buyers of those parts in critical quantities.
    • Retrieve parts request from mechanics and place orders with vendor or vendors.
    • Required to maintain PO# system according to company and Maintenance Department guidelines.
    • After placing orders will need to pick parts up from vendor or vendors and deliver to mechanic or mechanics job site or shop. (This occasionally will require out of town pickups and delivery.)
    • Appropriately put away received inventory items.
    • Receive purchased inventory into system.
    • Perform physical inventories when necessary.
    • Other duties not listed may be assigned as needed by the supervisor.

  • Position Requirements:

    • Applicants must have at least (1) year of experience in equipment and/or truck maintenance and repair for Cat, Cummins, John Deere, Bomag, Kenworth, Cedar Rapids, Hypac, Power Curber, and other miscellaneous equipment or any mixture of the equipment mentioned above.
    • Diesel and yellow iron education a big plus.
    • Valid driver’s license required (CDL a plus).
    • Work in the field and in the shop.

    • Help with documentation and logging of repairs and maintenance.

    Tandem, Water Truck & Tac Truck Drivers

    • Class B CDL License required.
    • Tanker endorsement required for water truck and tac truck.

    • Applicants must have at least (1) year Water Truck experience.
    • Candidate must have a CDL Class A or B license and Tanker License.

    Semi Drivers: End Dump, Belly Dump & Lowboy

    • Class A CDL License required.
    • Applicants must have at least (3) years Lowboy Driver experience.
    • Load all types of equipment (Excavators, Loaders, Scrapers, Cranes, etc.)
    • Ability to strap down and secure loads.
    • Applicants must have at least (2) years End Dump/Belly Dump experience.
    • Asphalt & Construction Experience preferred.
